In 2008, an otherwise young and previously healthy organ donor in Ohio unknowingly transmits a rare disease to seven different transplant recipients in Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. This fictional novel explores the ethics of organ transplantation and organ allocation, the struggle between doctors and malpractice lawyers, and the elusive definition of a “medical mistake”.
